Diagnostic scope

The desktop app may create local diagnostics such as app version, startup status, error messages, timestamps, configuration state, UI/module context, provider status, and non-sensitive environment details needed for troubleshooting.

User-controlled sharing

Local diagnostic files generally remain on the user’s device unless the user chooses to send them to support, attach them to a ticket, or export them for review.

Redaction expectations

Before sharing logs or screenshots, users should remove broker credentials, API keys, access tokens, full account numbers, personal account balances not needed for support, private notes, and unrelated personal information.

Support use

Diagnostics may be used to reproduce issues, identify crashes, correct defects, improve documentation, verify Store access paths, and investigate security or abuse reports.

Retention and deletion

Support logs and attachments are retained only as reasonably needed for support history, quality improvement, legal defense, security, and platform compliance. Users may request deletion where applicable law and technical feasibility allow.

Security contact

Potential vulnerabilities or accidental exposure of sensitive data should be sent to support with a clear security/privacy subject line so they can be triaged.
