Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions describe the public website and product-information terms for OptionForge, including the Microsoft Store access path, support, free distribution, restrictions, and no-advice boundaries.
Page sections
Acceptance and scope
These Terms & Conditions govern access to the OptionForge website, public product materials, documentation, legal pages, support intake, and the free-distribution path that points users to the Microsoft Store listing for the desktop application. By using the website or the product materials, the user agrees to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If a separate written agreement is signed by OptionForge and a customer, the written agreement controls for that customer only to the extent it directly conflicts with these public terms.
Product boundary and no-advice status
OptionForge is desktop options analytics and workflow software. It is not a broker, exchange, clearing firm, custodian, registered investment adviser, tax adviser, legal adviser, investment bank, portfolio manager, or trade-execution venue.
Website examples, screenshots, strategy references, probability views, Greeks, risk panels, and educational descriptions are product information and analytical workflow examples only. They are not recommendations to buy, sell, hold, exercise, assign, hedge, or avoid any security, derivative, strategy, or account action.
Microsoft Store free download, installation, update, and account path
For the current public release, OptionForge itself is free to download. Microsoft Store handles download delivery, installation, updates, Microsoft-account access, regional availability, and Store platform controls presented to the user.
The website does not collect payment-card numbers for the OptionForge app. It does not replace Microsoft account, Microsoft Store, device, regional, or platform controls.
Eligibility and user responsibility
- Use the website and app only if legally permitted in the user’s jurisdiction and permitted by the user’s broker, school, employer, parent or guardian where required, and applicable account agreements.
- Confirm system requirements, Store availability, Microsoft account access, broker permissions, account margin permissions, and data-provider access before relying on the workflow.
- Keep independent backups of local files, project files, exports, logs, reports, settings, and any user-created content.
- Consult qualified financial, legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory professionals before making real-money or legally significant decisions.
Free distribution, third-party charges, and changes
The current public release of OptionForge has no OptionForge subscription or software purchase price. Broker, market-data, exchange, connectivity, or other third-party services may charge separate fees under their own terms.
OptionForge does not operate app subscription billing for the current public release. Any separate third-party charge, tax, cancellation, refund, or payment-method issue is governed by that provider, the applicable platform, and mandatory consumer law.
Acceptable use and restrictions
- Do not bypass Microsoft Store/package integrity checks, security controls, access limits, technical controls, rate limits, or other protective measures.
- Do not copy, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, host, distribute, or make the application available as a service unless a written agreement expressly allows it.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, tamper with, remove notices from, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent a non-waivable law expressly permits.
- Do not use the website, app, support systems, or documentation to submit malware, exploit code, abusive content, unauthorized personal data, spam, or illegal material.
Market data, models, outputs, and user content
Any market data, quotes, volatility values, dividends, interest rates, corporate actions, examples, model outputs, or calculations may be delayed, incomplete, stale, estimated, manually entered, provider-dependent, or affected by user settings.
The user is responsible for validating data inputs and outputs before relying on them. OptionForge is not responsible for losses caused by user-entered values, missing data, stale data, broker differences, model assumptions, or provider interruptions.
Warranties and availability
The website, documentation, and application are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis to the maximum extent allowed by law. No guarantee is made that every feature will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, or suitable for any specific trading, accounting, tax, legal, compliance, or business purpose.
Mandatory legal warranties or consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OptionForge is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, trading, investment, tax, business-interruption, data-loss, lost-profit, lost-opportunity, market-loss, or similar damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or software.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow such limitation.
Changes, suspension, and termination
OptionForge may update website pages, documentation, free-distribution statements, feature descriptions, policy pages, support workflows, and product availability from time to time. Material policy updates should be reflected by updating the last-updated date on the relevant page.
Access or support may be limited for misuse, package tampering, security risk, legal compliance, breach of these terms, unsupported platform conditions, or discontinuation of the product.
Governing law and consumer rights
Unless a mandatory consumer-protection rule, Store rule, or separate written agreement requires otherwise, these terms are intended to be governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting non-waivable rights that apply in the user’s location.
Platform rules, mandatory refund rights, privacy laws, consumer law, and accessibility obligations that cannot be waived prevail over conflicting public terms.

Current free distribution
The current public release of OptionForge is free to download from Microsoft Store. OptionForge does not charge a recurring subscription or software purchase price for this release. Any fees charged by a broker, market-data vendor, exchange, connectivity provider, or another third party are separate and governed by that provider.
